wasteful draft EU plan increased 5% CO2 cuts by 2020

It would rise from 20 to 25 percent compared to the current package

By 2020 Cutting CO2 emissions from the EU should be 25% rather than 20 as suggested by the plans approved so far. It reads a document that draws a roadmap of the European strategy in this field that should be published in the coming weeks, but the drafts of which were disclosed by several sites.

In the Plan, in the form of a communication from the Commission to the Parliament and all other stakeholders, explaining that the greatest contribution will be mainly from increased energy efficiency: "The analysis - the law - shows that the most efficient path to emission reductions required by 2050 requires a reduction of 25% of CO2 in 2020. This can be achieved if you can maintain a commitment to increase energy efficiency by 20% by the end of the decade. "Currently the plans include Brussels within the next nine years a 20% reduction in emissions compared to 1990 levels as too low environmental organizations, even if the Commission contemplates the possibility of up to 30% if other big polluters will undertake to do the same. The plan drawn up by the document states that the reduction was 40% in 2030, up 60% in 2040 to to 80% by 2050.
