SUBJECT: BLOCK authorization process incinerators SILEA and wife - NOTICE

the sitting of 22 February 2007, respectively, with a majority of 26 "YES" 17 "NO" and 27 "YES" to 16 "NO", were approved by the Veneto Regional Council Resolution No. 26 and Resolution No. 24, which blocked the authorization process of incineration plants proposed by Unindustria Treviso.
In particular, Resolution No. 24 "... expresses its opposition to construction in the locality and Silea Bonisiolo Mogliano Veneto, in the province of Treviso, incinerators proposed by Unindustria" and "binding on the Regional Council to give permission to any contrary opinion on the merits of the projects mentioned ..." We assess
then with amazement and concern that two years from such votes, the EIA Commission is still examining the possibility of deploying the Treviso area the two incineration plants as if the Regional Council had not expressed very clearly for the definitive closure of this case considering that similar negative opinion was unanimous on 20.12.2006 by the Provincial Council Treviso, which was followed, again unanimously, the determinations of the Park River Sile on 13.03.2007 and 17.12.2008.
It also adds that the above mentioned Resolution No. 26, "binding on the Regional Council (...), in the absence (...) of a regional plan for the specific location for the treatment of special waste or industrial, not to grant no permission to build new energy plants or incineration, both public and private "and therefore in the absence of this plan, must not only be stored for projects submitted Silea and wife but also can not be initiated procedures to grant authorization for any other proposed incineration (or incineration) of hazardous waste to any person deemed to present in our region.

HAND IS URGENT,
as expressed in the final device of the above Resolution No. 24, start from the beginning a program of work, with the involvement of local authorities, to define a visionary project aimed at reducing waste and develop policies aimed at the business-oriented processing and containment of production activities marked by excessive wastage, including through educational projects that promote lifestyles marked by sobriety, saving, recycling, reuse.

said this
in compliance with the maximum approved by the regional legislative body, the Provincial Council of Treviso, from two decisions of the Park of the Sile River and the city councils of government Silea, Roncade, Casale sul Sile, Carbonera, Casier, Olmi di San Biagio, Quarto d'Altino and Marcon representing over 90,000 citizens

NOTICE

from continuing the investigation of the plants
incineration (or incineration) of Silea and Mogliano, giving effect to the resolutions passed at its meeting on 22 February 2007 also to avoid wastage of resources and public money for which it is concerned the Court of Auditors.

photovoltaic systems
Marcon
leader in the province
Wednesday, May 27, 2009,
(MDL) After Venice, Marcon is the first town in the province in number and power of the domestic photovoltaic systems installed in 2008.
the data emerging from data of the GSE (Electrical Services Manager) made by the Office of Scientific Legambiente the municipalities of the province of Venice. Marcon therefore represents excellence in terms of installation of photovoltaic systems that convert the sun's energy, the most democratic and free to all, into electricity. The result was achieved thanks to the sensitivity shown by citizens towards environmental issues, which certainly contributed the information activities in the past by the local authority.
The Municipality has, in fact, played the role of trailblazer installing a couple of years ago, the first two plants, one on the square in front of the municipal stadium in the garden and one of the primary school "Don Milani".
The two plants produce about one quarter of the electricity consumed by the whole school, "Don Milani" cultural center "De Andrè" civic center "Aldo Moro" and about 200 points of light illumination public.
Each of the two systems consists of six solar panels "in hot pursuit," that is equipped with a motorized system that allows, through the vertical and horizontal rotation, to "chase" the movement of the sun at various times of the day, providing exposure optimum and maximum use of solar energy. From the environmental point of view panels can reduce the production of 40 000 kilograms of carbon dioxide production than the equivalent of a coal-fired power plant. Most systems now installed in Marcon has been achieved through the pilot project "Energy City" launched in 2008 by Common Marcon, Ceggia, Portsmouth, San Stino Livenza and Torre di Mosto with the expertise of Legambiente and sponsored by the Province of Venice.
The excellent results have meant that the project has been revived this year with the enlargement of the municipalities of Quarto d'Altino, Casale sul Sile (TV) Noventa di Piave.
The choice of PV, it should be remembered, allows the reduction of CO2 emissions, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and the alternative choices dangerous and uneconomical, as might be nuclear.

unanimously approved an agenda outlining the reasons for opposition to the project by Unindustria.

"I repeat at each location the firm and absolute opposition to the construction of two incinerators Bonisiolo Mogliano Veneto and Silea, united in our commitment to continue to defend its citizens and territories."
E 'the commitment, unanimously by the municipal councils of Casale sul Sile, Marcon and Quarto d'Altino, who last night (May 26), gathered at the sports hall of Marcon to a joint session during which they examined the impact on territory of the proposed "waste to energy power system with non-hazardous waste" by Unindustria, through his company "Environmental Initiatives Ltd".
During the debate, which was attended by several hundred citizens from the three municipalities, the mayors Bruna battalions (Casale), Pier Antonio Tomasi (Marcon) and Loredo marcasite (Fourth), councilors Environment Renzo Ganz (Casale) , Mauro Scroccaro (Marcon) Enrico Nacca (fourth) and the many council majority and minority participants, explained the reasons for opposition to the plant, repeating the request to the Region of Veneto and in particular the Commission EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) to be fully involved in all phases of project reviews. To this end, three municipalities have pledged to promote the establishment of a commission composed of mayors, and representatives of local councils of all municipalities concerned, the provinces of Treviso and Venice and the Park of Sile.
At the end of the session was unanimously approved an agenda in which they are explained in full very articulated the reasons for the opposition is based of the three municipalities to draft Unindustria.
Among the main reasons for opposition to the city council indicating the absence of a regional plan for waste, but also the fact that plants and Bonisiolo Silea would be located in areas which are not meant to industrial, already subject to ' impact of major infrastructure, situated close to residential areas and areas of environmental interest, starting from the Park of Sile. Other considerations arising from the fact that the negative potential of the two plants is much greater than that necessary to dispose of the waste produced by industries in the Veneto. The three common
They also reaffirmed adherence to the principle of "6R" the "Zero Waste": Responsibility, Energy Conservation, Reuse, Recycle, waste collection, search for new methods of disposal and energy production.
